My name is Afke Marije, I grew up in a cozy, touristy village where everyone knows each other. You know, the kind you see in your average feel-good rom-com.

Over the years, I've been averagely popular, with ups and downs. I've been average financially stable, with ups and downs, and I'm average athletical. You guessed it: ups and downs.

 

We had a great class in primary school, but not in secondary school. After studying optics and optometry, I decided my heart lay elsewhere. I'm now a manager at a company that facilitates everything I need. I feel valued and have fantastic colleagues. I'm ambitious, creative, a hard worker, and proud (but not yet completely satisfied) of what I've achieved so far.

 

My hobbies are quite diverse. I can be content with a book, a cup of tea, and Hans Zimmer music in the background. I often prefer something that gets the adrenaline pumping. Skydiving, diving, motorcycling, kitesurfing—that sort of thing.
